How we work in Sussex

Simple, on-site, and documented.

From first call to signed paperwork — most Sussex-area jobs wrap in a single visit.

01
Step 01

Scope the job

A quick conversation to confirm process, code, position, material, and how many welders. Most companies already know the code they need — if you're new to it, Bob will walk you through it.

02
Step 02

Schedule on your site

We come to your shop or jobsite anywhere within 100 miles of Brookfield. Flexible windows — early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays are also possible.

03
Step 03

Test & inspect

Coupons are welded, marked, and evaluated on site. Visual acceptance is called on the spot; bends and macros handled per code requirements.

04
Step 04

Documented certifications

Signed WQTR records get delivered to the company. The welders don't receive the documents; the employer does, with digital PDFs available.

Real credential. Real inspection.
  • AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.5, D1.6, ASME Section IX, and API 1104 are the ones we run most often. Processes: SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (flux-core), GTAW (TIG), and SAW. If your job calls for something specific, ask — most likely we can do it.
  • Yes. Every test and inspection is performed on site. Standard service area is a 100-mile radius around Brookfield, Wisconsin. Farther jobs are possible — just ask.
  • Most jobs get on the calendar within a few business days. Urgent needs and repeat clients often get same-week service. Call 262-309-7083 to check the next open window.
  • It depends on how involved the testing is. Results and paperwork can sometimes be ready the same day; more involved tests requiring bends or macros take a few days following the test. Documents are issued to the company.
  • Yes. We provide one-on-one coaching and hands-on prep for AWS, ASME, and API tests — position work, technique, and code interpretation. Most welders come in for a short prep session before their official qualification test.
  • Yes — AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and also a Certified Welding Educator (CWE). All testing and inspection is performed and signed by a credentialed CWI, not a stand-in.
  • Quotes are free, but an accurate one takes information first — code, process, positions, material, number of welders, and location. Once those questions are answered, a ballpark number can often be given the same day, with a firm quote to follow. Texting or emailing is the fastest way to start.
